If so, how does getting together with fellow MRN members to spend a few hours at
Community Forklift sound to you?
“Community Forklift eliminates waste and fosters a healthier environment by recognizing, retaining, and returning the value of used and surplus materials to the community. As a nonprofit reuse warehouse, we collect donations of new and gently used building materials and home essentials and redistribute them to the community for free through our community giving programs and at below market prices through our warehouse store.”
We’ll be doing a variety of jobs while getting an inside look at one of Maryland’s long time reuse operations and connecting with other MRN members. Activities range from heavy (carrying) to light (sorting, separating, labeling, measuring), all helping divert reusable materials away from landfills and into productive use. Easy Peasy!
